Zhumadian once named“Ramee
inn”for
its rich ramee.Since Zhumadian was located on one of the vital
traffic lines around the country in ancient times ,it served as an
important inn for couriers and traveling officers,and got the name
of “Post-horse-inn”consequently.In the early Western Zhou
Dynasty ,Sping and Autumn period ,the king Zhougong ordered to
measure the land .Thus found Zhongyuan is the center of China，Runan
(Today's
Zhumadian
)is
even more the center of Zhongyuan 。So
people heaped soil and based stones to form “Central
Heaven Hill .” YanZhenqing ,a great calligrapher of Tang Dynasty
,made an inscription at a tablet as “Central
Heaven Hill .”So the culture of Zhumadian is also called
“Tianzhong Culture .”At this area ,it has the legend of Pangu
(ancistor of mankind)creating the world ,also has the footmark of
Confucius.It’s
yet the hometown of the famous prime minister Lisi and
noted materialistic thinker Fanzhen
etc. Tianzhong Culture has a long-standing history and

1、Zhongyuan
Miniascape –Chaya Mountain
Chaya
Mountain locates to the west of Suiping County 25km for away, near
to Jingguang railway,Jingshen road and Jingzhu highway, is of
proud steep ,weird stones forest. Mila hill,the south hill ,the
north hill and Liu feng hill circles standing . Xiumi lake ,Pipa
lake,Tianmo lake and Baihua lake waving among them. The cultural
relics as star net and chessboard ornates here, the beautiful
natural scences countless.
Chaya
Mountain combines the steepness of Hua Mt. , the magnificence of
Tai Mt. , the elegance of Emei
Mt. and the profoundity of Yandang Mt. .
Chaya
Mountain is a good place from where Wu Cheng’en
(Ming Dynasty)had excited his inspiration to finish his classic
story 《Touring
west 》in
hermit and the photograph of the TV serial 《Touring
west 》of
CCTV were taken.
It
is called“
Zhongyuan Miniascape”.In
1987 ，it
was authorized provincial Scenic Spot by Henan Province.
2、The
famous Boshan lake scenery in Queshan County of Zhumadian ,locates
3km far away to the west of the national road 107 ,near to
Jingguang railway . The hills covery green ,clear water sinuous
along. The beauty of the cultural and natural scenes countless,
are of the magnificence of Dongting lake,the elegence of West lake
and the brightness of Lijiang. Here named “natural-eco-garden
”and “Lijiang of Zhongyuan.”,is a heaven to where touring
,resorting against summer ,mounting and swimming ,fishing and
hunting ,selected as out-scenes of the TV serial 《Touring
west 》and
《Long
march》by
CCTV and CTMC. In1995, it was authorized provincial beauty spot by
Henan Province.
3、Be
famous as Wudang Mt.-Copper Mt.
Copper
Mt.scenery is 30km far away from the east of Biyang County.It is
famous of steep ,weird hills and flourish trees. There is a legend
that once Zhangsanfeng (a famous shadow boxing master of Ming
Dynasty )built palace here to
teach shadow boxing. Several years later,he went to
Wudang Mt. and became well-known. Because of this quotation
,it is called:“South
peak is Wudang;North peak is Copper Mt.”It once has south and
north two Taoist palace ,on the peak has three Buddhist palace
,today the south palace is still existing. It is a symbol of
Buddhist and Taoist
Which
are well mingled. Copper Mt. lake forest garden is a national
forest garden. It has a lot of floristics and animal species,such
as gingkgo、China
fir、leoparol
、otter、zibet
and white-head pheasant.In 1994,it was authorized provincial
beauty spot by Henan rovince.
4、Nanhai-Buddihist
temple
Nanhai-Buddihist
temple,first built in Jiajing years
,Ming Dynasty,was one of “Eight Scenic Spot ”in
Caizhou historically. It is named of closing with the lake of
“Small Nanhai .”Rebuilt in 1994 by the donation of Mingcheng
(birth in Runan )from Taibei. It is the largest Buddihist temple
in China and also well-known in Asia. It is 300 mu. In it from
north to south ,there are twelve granite memorial gate ways.
Baisheng stupa beried donation of Baisheng ; Daxiong palace,
exceeding Taihe of the Imperial Palace and
Dacheng Confucian Temple in scale.
5、The
biggest Man-made plain reservoir of China –Suya lake
Suya
lake lies in the northwest of Runan County. It’s
the biggest
man-made plain reservoir in area and the longest dyke of China .It’s
called :“Man-made
Dongting”.
Suya
lake like a crystal pearl.It also like a peaceful maiden,
accepting several rage rivers such as Ru river
、Zhentou
river 、Lianjiang
river . It’s
a good place for feeding fish and mussel. Circling the lake ,there
are lots of willows and reeds. It’s
the heaven of ducks and umbrette.When the
sun falls,many ducks fly to the sky. What a beautiful scenary!
